How You Can Help
Without caring, determined efforts to work towards solutions, many children with mental health problems will face a grim future that includes needless experiences of failure, futility, and suffering inflicted on themselves, their family, and their community.
Please help us continue to ensure the healthy emotional development and well-being of all our children. Your support will help not only children, but also their families, schools, and the communities in which they live.

Make a planned gift
A planned gift is your opportunity to leave a lasting mark – to know that your generosity is helping to ensure the healthy emotional development and well-being of children and families. Your planned gift to the Hincks-Dellcrest Foundation will leave a legacy to future generations by helping children develop into emotionally healthy youth and adults.
For more than forty years, The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre has been promoting optimal mental health in infants, children, youth, and their families, and contributing to the achievement of healthy communities.
The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre helps more than 8,000 children and families each year. Your planned gift, whether large or small, can ensure our future in continuing to meet the changing and challenging needs of our children and families.
Planned giving is a simple change in the way you plan your estate and it need not cost you anything during your lifetime, but the work your gift allows us to do when your Estate is distributed will ensure your concern for others continues. Some methods of planned giving also provide you with tax benefits which your accountant, lawyer, or financial advisor can tell you about.
Once you have provided for your family and friends, perhaps you will consider remember the children and families of The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre in your will.
A gift in your will to The Hincks-Dellcrest Foundation may take many forms – a cash amount, a piece of property, or an investment. Some people prefer to designate a specific gift in their will, as it can be precisely identified. We suggest the following wording:
“I leave to The Hincks-Dellcrest Foundation, the sum of $____ (or ___% share of my estate) for its general purposes.”
Directing your gift to the “general purposes of The Hincks-Dellcrest Foundation” could avoid complications and ensure that your gift is being put to the best use.
If you prefer, gifts can be specifically designate to research, prevention, training or treatment, or endowment funds, for example. We would be happy to further discuss your interests and preferences on where you would like your donation allocated.
Planned giving can also include gifts that are available for immediate use by the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre. There are many tax incentives for gifts of securities, property, or life insurance.
To find out more about planned giving, please contact Annabel Bassin, Director of Development & Communications, at (416) 924-1164, ext. 3343 or firstname.lastname@example.org. All discussions will be confidential and without obligation.
