In May, 250 supporters gathered at the Liberty Grand in downtown Toronto for Raise a Child’s Smile, The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre’s annual gala fundraiser. Guests enjoyed a fabulous evening of delectable cuisine, live entertainment, prize draws, and more than 100 silent and live auction items.

Themed “Pennies from Heaven” – because every penny counts in supporting the healthy emotional development and well-being of our children – the event raised more than $200,000!

Proceeds of Raise A Child’s Smile will support prevention, early intervention, and treatment services to infants, children, and youth, ensuring that today’s children develop into tomorrow’s emotionally healthy adults. Funds raised will also support educational placements, to prepare the next generation of mental health professionals, and evaluation and research, to examine the causes of children’s mental health problems and evaluate new treatment methods.

We thank all attendees, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and committee members who were a part of this very special event. Please join us next year as we once again gather to support children’s mental health. Raise A Child’s Smile 2010 will take place on Thursday, May 6th.
