The Hincks-Dellcrest Foundation bases its privacy practices on the requirements of the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Ten interrelated principles (Accountability; Identifying Purposes; Consent; Limiting Collection; Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention; Accuracy; Safeguards; Openness; Individual Access; Challenging Compliance) provide the framework for these practices.
The Hincks-Dellcrest Foundation respects the privacy of its donors' personal information. The Foundation adheres to all legislative requirements with respect to protecting privacy. We do not rent, sell, or trade our mailing lists. The information that is provided to us by donors is used for internal management purposes only, such as informing donors of upcoming events, providing receipts for donations, analyzing which donors are interested in supporting specific projects, and reminding donors of pledges and past donations.
Persons who no longer wish to receive Foundation information, or have a question or a concern regarding their privacy or the Foundation's privacy practices may call, write, or e-mail the Foundation's Privacy Officer:
